needed someone who could make decisions on the spot, without having to constantly get approval from superiors. This was very important to my company. I offered John a lessor position with the company but he
refused it.

Jack was very
cooperative in his statements. He came across as liking John and indicated to me that he would have kept John if he had accepted a position in sales or research. He said he felt money was the main reason John
did not accept the offer of a lessor position.
